Members shall be entitled to legal representation for administrative and criminal actions brought against them resulting from a self defense incident involving duly licensed and in good standing concealed carry weapon permit.

  • Use of your weapon in a location that recognizes your concealed carry permit or gun license.
  • Use of deadly force in any location that recognizes your concealed carry permit or gun license.
  • Shooting or use of force with a weapon, object, or legal firearm outside of your concealed carry permit authority if the incident takes place in your residence during the commission of a crime against you, your family, or other occupants. A legal firearm must meet the legal description provided by state and federal laws.

Up to 25 hours of legal representation for administrative hearings. The hearing must be the result of a covered incident listed above and involve the possible suspension of your concealed weapon permit.

After 25 hours the you will be billed directly at the discounted rate of 33 1/3% off of the attorneys normal hourly rate.

Up to 50 hours of representation for civil or criminal hearings where you are the named defendant. Hearings must be a result of a covered incident listed above. Hearings must be held in a court of competent jurisdiction.

After 50 hours the member will be billed directly at the discounted rate of 33 1/3% off of the attorneys normal hourly rate.

Representation will include securing legal services from U.S. Legal Services Network Attorneys. To be entitled to these services from U.S. Legal you must have a valid State Concealed Weapon Permit issued. U.S. Legal will provide legal representation and pay legal fees associated with a use of force incident, however, the member will be responsible for any monetary judgments or fines rendered against a member. (Subject to limitations as described below). 

  1. Service will not be provided if an incident involves use of force that is criminal or malicious.
  2. Service will not be provided if an incident occurs while You are providing law enforcement, security, or recovery services.
  3. Service will not be provided if You are under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or other drugs at the time of a covered incident. Under the influence of alcohol means having a blood-alcohol concentration of .08 or higher at the time of the incident.
  4. Service will not be provided for incidents related to the following:
    • War or warlike actions. This includes an undeclared war or civil war. This includes defense against an attack or planned attack by a government, sovereignty, or militia.
    • Participating in defending against a revolution, seize of power, or action taken against a governmental authority.
